Located in the heart of Ephraim, you'll find this Victorian Gem dating approximately back to 1880 and registered both on the National Historical Society and Utah Historical Society lists. The home is built from the same rock quarry (oolite stone) as the Manti Temple and was the first home in Sanpete County designed in what was known as the new Gothic Revival Style. When built, the home was considered to be one of the finest homes south of Provo and also the tallest home in Ephraim with two floors, a full attic and a cellar. The original owners who built the home were Peter G. & Elizabeth M. Greaves- Peter was involved in government, owning businesses and also had a small general store in one room of the main floor of the house. Their youngest child, Minnie Maud Greaves Deakin inherited the house after their death in 1917. At that time, it was completely furnished and most of the furnishings in the home today are antiques from the late 1800's and early 1900's. The home was then passed to Maud's four children in 1971 after the death of both parents and is currently owned by the last living child, Anita who is 94 years old. This is truly a piece of Ephraim history and you'll feel like you're going back in time from the moment that you walk-in.
